TinyMCE Editor and Submission Edits
We’ve had a gremlin running around behind the scenes the last couple of month that I have tried to corner, but the lil’ bugger keeps dodging me. This particular gremlin likes to throw lens submissions around and make a mess of the text. At times part of the content was ending up outside the story container.
Because of this nasty lil devil I found a work around so that he can’t eat the text anymore. The work around is simple, the TinyMCE editor. For those not familiar with this type of editor it’s what is called WYSIWYG or a What You See Is What You Get editor. Basically the content displayed during editing appears very similar to the final output.
One side effect of installing the editor is you will get to use a few html codes to spruce up your submission. I know, bummer huh?

A few house cleaning notes to go along with this that pertain to submission edits are listed below;
- Max title length -65 characters
- Tags – 40 characters (max)
- Story length – 250 character (min) 1000 (max)
- Edit time -45 minutes
I hope that you find these changes make submitting a lens a little easier. Please do us a favor and not go too crazy with the text size. Keep it “respectful”. If you have any problems, find bugs or just have a question don’t forget to leave a comment.
Enjoy!
UPDATE: This caused more problems than it was worth. and has been disabled.
